Painfully beautiful in every way possible. It’s a story of once unrequited love that transformed into insatiable love. Connell isn’t a bad guy like some people see him. He’s the son of a house cleaner who made his way into a prestigious school. His grades and athletic abilities kept him slightly above the noses of those who would otherwise judge him. Marianne is brilliant and beautiful at the same time, but flawed and dealing with a different set of challenges. No matter what paths they took through life, the roads always led them back to each other. It was painful at times and even hard to watch, but it’s a story of intense love with very few smiles along the way. It’s a very serious show that will make you question your own relationships. I guess you have to be in the right mood to watch this one, but it’s worth every viewing opportunity you have to give. 5/5- absolutely brilliant.
