A great movie, subtle but powerful in its message, with beautiful cinematography and a haunting musical score. I'm a history professor with specialty in the modern Middle East/Arab-Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I also teach a course on Jewish history, a course on the Holocaust, and courses on massacre and genocide in the modern world. I have my students watch history-based films in most of my courses. This film, _1945_, is another poignant, well-acted and well-directed WWII/Holocaust-related film that I will add to my list of potential films for my students to view.

I'll say it again and again: _GF, Part II_ was a great film, but _GF_ was exceptional and stupendous! Michael Corleone's transformation, and the circumstances leading to it, is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, in all of film. Another favorite transformation: Rodrigo Mendoza (Robert De Niro) in the film _The Mission_.

My wife and I enjoyed this film for its narration, for the inclusion of witness testimonies, and for the captivating rotoscopic animation. Though this case of a school shooting is different from the rash of more recent school shootings (it involves a sniper rather than a rampage), it raises the important issues of security and public safety and the psychology of mass killing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Some aspects of the way the film portrayed Intel tradecraft was farfetched, but films rarely, if ever, get this information 100% correct. The acting was very good. Cumberbatch, of course, is always excellent, and I thought Ninidze was very good as Penkovsky. The story is compelling, and the fact that the individuals and the events involved were tied to the Cuban Missile Crisis makes the story and film extra engaging.

A marvelous series. It's informative and fascinating. Watch it! Eric

Great movie. I have my studies watch this film and _Hotel Rwanda_in my Mass Killing and Genocide course.

I've seen this movie three times and would watch it again. And again and again. I can't explain why it has affected me so much. I'm not a dark person. I don't wish for or support violence and chaos. I guess I'm intrigued at some level by people who are teetering on the margins of society and then are pushed into, or fall into, the abyss. I'll have to think more about why, but for now I definitely recommend this movie. I often agree with RT, but not on this film. I'm intrigued with Joaquin Phoenix's persona and his interpretation of Arthur Fleck. I like him as an actor and I thought he was excellent in this film. "And that's all I have to say about that."

I enjoyed this movie in all its procedural minimalism, its lonely isolation, its exasperation, and its pessimistic hopefulness. Overgård's desire to survive and to save the injured wife and mother speaks to the power of the human spirit for instinctual self-preservation and for selfless compassion. Highly recommended for movie goers who don't need to see a car chase and/or a building explode to stay engaged in a very human story.

This is the way we wish the events surrounding what came to be imfamous Manson murders had ended!

The whole F&F franchise needs to disappear and make the world a better place.
