Terrible writing. Endless cliche and innuendo to the point of destroying any integrity a character could have. This is the second book I couldn’t finish because reading it was frustrating. All I could do was eye roll.

I’m about halfway through the audio book and can’t get over just how much misogynistic, chauvinistic, and toxic pov is in this book. The amount of fetishizing of the body of a 17 year old girl is ridiculous. He writes about how she’s just a child then launches into some soliloquy about her body parts. It’s disgusting. While the other books had shades of this sort of material and toxic pov, Proven Guilty is on a whole other level.
