Binged through all 5 seasons very quickly. I'm surprised I'd never heard of this show before as it is from a few years ago I luckily caught a small clip of it on a reel or tik tok and it peeked my interest enough to try find out what tv show it was and I'm glad it did. It didn't disappoint at any single point each episode was enjoyable, and infact the whole thing became more interesting the more I watched and you become invested in the entire thing. John was my favourite character kind of reminded me a bit of John Wick especially on one particular episode where someone puts a bounty on him and all the thugs and gangsters are after him to get the reward money. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something new to watch.

I never watched the original, but could be tempted. I decided to watch this as browsing through netflix and was not disappointed! Absolutely loved it binge watched the whole thing as I couldn't stop thinking about it and needed to know if daoming si and shancai would be together in the end! Loved everything about all of the characters and as many people have said the outfits were great. My favourite character was daoming si of course, Dylan Wang played it perfectly and really felt all the love he had for shancai. May re watch as I'm sad now I've finished it
