Water takes the shape of the container it is held in. That’s the metaphor for the movie. No matter what container you use the water is the same. Like people if they were water. Which we are mostly water, right? So The Shape of Water is human and human is The Shape of Water. Pretty straightforward, predictable film.

This is my new favorite show! I’m curious what happens when the bakers are voted off the island but I’m sure that will be revealed on or near the finale. My favorite part is that it is shot in the upper Midwest US or nearby because the accents are great! 🍳
