Stunning visuals that just can’t hide atrocious writing, plot inconsistencies and robotic characters that spark zero emotional investment. In fact the only character that actually was intriguing, is an actual robot.

This is a film that does not pretend to be anything other than advertised. It’s basically giant monsters hitting each other. That being said, it’s executed very well with each big battle becoming more epic and higher stakes than the last. With some surprising touching moments, this is a white knuckle thrill for those just looking for some fun. Especially in the final battle that literally had my heart racing.
