Beautifully written. The characters felt incredibly real to me. I love Libby, and how she deals with everything she’s going through in life. Especially the behaviour of crazy family members; life worries, like where shall I live, and what will my next job be? We all have those types of worries. I loved how well the characters were described. I used to ride a bus to and from work, for years. This book took me right back to sitting on the bus, people watching! The characters were very well thought out. My mother passed of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, several years ago, and another close family member is currently going through it. Frank’s determination to find his girl “before it’d too late,” took me back to my Mom’s daily feelings, and reminded me of how the best parts of her lived on the longest, like her beauty laugh. This book is a poignant and inspiring story, that is realistic in so many ways. I’m the Mom to a young adult daughter with special needs, and the character Esme; was so lovely, she could be one of my daughter’s friends! Dylan, the carer; reminded me not to judge a book by its cover. It only takes a chance encounter, for our lives to change forever. I was reminded that the friends we meet by chance, are really meant to be. The best book I’ve read in a very long time! ❤️📚
