I have never been a person who plays music. I have always gravited to audio books, podcasts and listening to programs in the background. This album has turned on something inside me that is new and I'm 52. Maybe it's that her songs tell such a curious story that is drawing me in. The more I listen the more I love it. The lyrics and poetry take on more meaning with every listen and I find myself comforted by playing the entire album as I go about my daily chores. It is quit simply beautiful, honest and raw. The Tortured Poets Department speaks both to me and sometimes for me.
