Great history lesson! However, My great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandfather (I may have missed a "great" or two there) Gilbert Carpenter, was taken prison on board the British ship, Jersey. Amazingly, he escaped, but 11,000 American prisoners DIED on five British ships in New York harbor during the Revolution. They could have "at least mentioned" this fact....a fact that dwarfs the number of those killed during the Revolution.
