Olivia Coleman is excellent.She plays the character flawlessly and even adds some negative shades that lends more credibility to the role. Storyline sometimes lacks pace and tends to meander along. Ed Harris,Dakota Johnson could have been used better.Dakota Johnson especially, since she has nothing to do except look after the little girl and be a lap dog to her husband and other men at her beck and call.The pregnant woman named Callie could have had a more substantial role. Jessie Buckley deserves kudos for maintaining the momentum of Leda's personality in the flashback.Cursing could have been a little less and the sex scenes between young Leda and her husband and the affair man could have beem done a little bit better the lighting in those scenes is not good. Motherhood is blessing but it simetimes can be overbearing on individuals. Maggie Gyllenhaal brings out the darker side in such a way that it never occurs to the watcher that it's a dark theme, but the end leaves a litany of unanswered questions which makes the film a watchable one...

Beginning of the show marks that the series will have dark shades throughout. Characters are all grey with tinge of pitch black mixed in.Secrets,intrigue, relationships all mixed into one tasty dish.Kate Winslet is understated and under used she could have been much more forceful and assertive. Her mastery of the Delawarean accent makes her more relatable to the story location.Vulnerability and strength of each character makes this series an interesting viewing.Season finale goes the way of all the previous episodes.Gripping, intense,emotional and moreover portrays every shade of a human being.Kate Winslet deserves every accolade possible.Julianne Nicholson as Lori is also brilliant in the finale.Good storyline and excellent performances makes this mini-series all the more watchable....

Sharmaji Namkeen has all the ingredients for a feel good movie must have.Rishi Kapoor's final act is a truely genuine performance which had he completed would have been a blockbuster based on his own performance. The motley gang of kitty party shows us the very life of urban cities which is almost similar in nature in all metros.Paresh Rawal as substitute Sharmaji deserves special praise as it is unheard off in movies that another actor takes up the unfinished job of a departed soul and rather than spoiling it makes it a livelier one with spunk. Retirement almost certainly makes a person bored with life the absence of a daily busy schedule,responsibilities or the lack of takes a toll on the mind which both Sharmajis portrayed with elan.Juhi Chawla deserves special praise for her performance although her role could have been a bit enhanced. All the other actors in the film are also praise worthy in their roles.Overall an enjoyable watch....

Absolute pleasure to watch a HBO original series which is dark,quirky and original to the core.Murray Bartlett is a gem, Alexandra Daddario is excellent as a reluctant trophy wife whose sense of individuality wins through, Jennifer Coolidge is the best mid life crisis ridden rich white female we have come across on the liquid screen in a long time. The odd ball characters' interplay with each other amidst a tropical paradise makes this a very entertaining miniseries. Those people who do not like dark humour mixed in a adult theme then please do not watch it as it will bounce over your head.
