Coming from an academic (Ph.D) background, I appreciate the clarity and step-by-step approach of this author. Beautiful work, Eric! Early in the book you recommend an install of Sublime Text as a beginner-friendly editor. This is indeed true - however not too long into the learning journey, Sublime Text mandated a licence to be purchased for continued use. While a newbie in the programming world and unsure of the most suitable editor out there, I cautiously choose free editors until experience guides me to the best editors for my purposes. I am currently using PyCharm, a free and wonderfully comprehensive open-source editor provided by the Python community.
