I really like the overall plot. It’s cheesy and theatrical, but still easy to get into. I just hate how like 75% of the episodes dance around making actual progress with each character. It seems like every other episodes is a distraction or a diversion from the real story. This show had a lot of potential, and I think only 20% of that potential was met.

I love the modern day euphemisms and what nots. The oldest sister doesn’t act very well at all. Almost like she’s as insecure in real life about her acting as she is in the show. Strange performance, embarrassed for her every time she speaks. She white knuckles in almost every scene and can hardly manage any social interactions. This remake attempts to incorporate liberal ideas which is great, but this is not at all a realistic portrayal of an adopted child. I would give the whole thing with 90% majorly cliche moments a generous 5/10.
