This movie was so awful I wish I could rate it negative stars. This was an absolute disgrace to the book and made absolutely no sense. They killed off characters that didn’t even die in the book or need to die, the plot jumped around constantly and characters were missing. First of all The Overlook burned down so it made no sense to have that as the final destination for the movie, and for how powerful Abra is it was stupid to not have her use her powers. There was absolutely no character development and they didn’t even bother to create a bond between Dan and Abra, I mean she literally showed up out of nowhere and everything was fine. I can’t even begin to say how disappointed I was in this movie, I had high hopes based on how amazing The Shining and Doctor Sleep was, but it seems I was severely wrong. I wish I never even watched this movie it was a waste of 2 and a half hours. Please just read the book instead, trust me the extra 2 hours will be well worth your time.
