Raven Tan

So much stupidity in the film; illogical decisions and contrived dialogue trying to push the plot along, which I may be more forgiving of if they attempted to push said plot down an interesting route. Instead this is the most cliche zombie movie ever, stitched together by nonsensical moves by the characters, and the premise of having an intelligent zombie to go against ends up being a sore disappointment (yay you know to wear a helmet, good for you). If I were not watching this with company I would have switched off the TV 30min in.

Fresh and thought provoking, the film is a showcase of the mindset differences between the sheltered younger generation, and the roughshod older generation, in the setting of an America that has been turned upside down by an unknown event. Many disliked this film as it was missing a proper closure and explanation, but I feel the movie very accurately portrays the reality that you cannot expect to always find an answer in life - and in the face of the apocalypse, why it had happened has no significance at all to the people affected, the only thing that matters is how one decides to live. I wont have wished for the film to be any other way, and wish that more people can view this as the mature, thoughtful piece that it is.
