I really enjoyed this movie. I am partial to M Night Shyamalan's films, but still feel this one isn't getting the reviews it deserves. I recommend you watch it and decide for yourself. if nothing else you will be able to engage in feedback if it's brought up in discussion by those of us intelligent enough to love it. 😉

it was okay for a remake AND a musical. some very talented voices on there. Especially Renee Rap, think she could go a lot farther as a musical artist instead of acting tho. but I mean the girls themselves. you might have one or 2 girls that are... overly developed. but the whole school isn't wearing D cups. 😕 is all I'm saying. just really weird they didn't find actors more of a high-school age or at least can pull off the age but the obvious gap. might as well have been the cast of Friends going to prom. but dam if that Renee can't sing. helluvan octave range. go girl!

it was a good one to watch when not really wanting anything serious or to have to pay too much attention. but serious, Tiffany should have been arrested for putting her in that 20 year coma. (not a spoiler, u find out that fun fact in the first 15 minutes). you spend the next hour n a half hoping and waiting for that b face to get caught or the very least be accountable. it'd be 4 stars had that happened.

loved it. anyone who was offended by the term "freaks" needs to grow up and respect the art for what it is. there is no such thing as offensive art.

If they could have gotten anyone else to play stephen and Lana besides James Franco and Amber (gag) Heard. and she was actually more tolerable to watch than him! Ethan Hawke would have been great. if they wanted younger, then James McAvoy (Split, X-men, IT2) or even Joseph Gordon Levitt, even Jake Gyllenhaal. Anyone but Franco. the rest of the cast was great, story line great, best selling book. but they ruined it for me. and now with both their reputations thrown away and their acting even worse, they should just remake the whole movie. such a disappointment. READ THE BOOK, Audible even. but don't waste your time here.

The whole time my husband kept asking, "why is he following this!@#$ ?" And he's right. She was toxic. Nothing good about her character. She had no personality and was only whatever man was in front of her wanted her to be... Jeesh! It had some great twists and it could have been a great movie but then there's the ending. RUINED EVERYTHING! I mean, how is Nick alive? There's no feeding tube. Catheter. He's been lying in a tube of water for YEARS and not a single aging wrinkle let alone wrinkles from soaking in H2o. His beard hasn't grown, at all. But his friend has gray hair and a granddaughter?! WHAT?! The only reason Hugh Jackman is lying there smiling is because this terrible movie is over and he can finally cash out. And HBO, letting us think we had the privilege of some early access film that's actually a flop. At least I didn't go to the theater. With as bad as this movie was I probably would have left with covid, cause the whole experience was just terrible. Give me the 2 hours of my life back.
