This was probably one of the best and most original movies I've seen: a tour de force with incredible acting, a razor tight script, and truly thought-provoking subject matter. Sean Patrick Flannery should be nominated for an Academy Award (but probably won't be) for his outstanding performance as the prisoner. Jordan Belfi also turned in a fantastic performance as the psychiatrist who interviews him and is forced to face his own programmed convictions and demons in order to make several life-or-death decisions. If the subject matter doesn't make you think, then you might want to watch it again. This movie is for both believers and non-believers, but probably not suited for children younger than 15, as it tackles mature subjects and has a graphic execution scene towards the end. I can't recommend this movie enough for anyone who isn't afraid to have some of their beliefs and many accepted societal norms challenged... but is definitely for anyone who simply appreciates a truly well-made and riveting film.
