Raspberry Milkshake

I watched the trailer for this on repeat all night the day it dropped, and it was even better than I expected. I was lucky enough to get a copy a few months before the western release, and since I've seen it seven times. Planning to go see if three in the cinema when it comes out here. The pacing is perfect, the characters are as insanely charismatic and likeable as always and the animation is the single best thing I've ever seen. I've been a diehard Lupin III obsessive for nearly two a half years, and this film alone has easily added a few more to that lifespan.

This is the most bonkers and nonsensical narrative album I've ever heard, but because it takes itself 100% seriously it's also the best. Basic premise is that God's enacting judgement day, and for some reason Texas is the promised land. So, because I guess he has literally nobody better to turn to, he gets three Texas rock n' roll boys to bring the entire population of Earth to Texas, which in return to doing they'll become big stars. I mean... that's all you need to know really. All are lyrics are either occult religious symbolism or completely bonkers, the instruments are boosted to all hell and awesome. This is the peak of insane early 2000s post rock.
