Merv The Swerve

I enjoyed this movie. I did get a bit long winded by showing 3 sides of the same story but the final battle made it all worth while. Sir Ridley does his magic once again. Was it pride or was it honour? That is the question? If you like medival tales then you will enjoy this one. I can't say that any of the characters really stood out but you may find yourself liking one in favour of the other.

I really enjoyed this film. Based on a book but it was a lot like Notting Hill. A crazy wedding with what could have happened and what did happen. The British do have an amazing sense of humour. I lot about how sometimes we must take a chance on love because we may not always get a second chance. Watch it! You may just love it ;)

I really enjoyed this feel-good, all round family fun movie more than I expected. It has Disney magic. There's magic in each of us and sometimes we need to find a way to let it out. And that what this movie does. It takes kids with a little hidden magic and shows them how to be better at what they do. It was good to watch a movie where there was no bad guy to fight.

A very entertaining movie. I felt the bromance between Dwyane Johnson & Ryan Reynolds was a bit forced but it was still a lot of laughs. Bit of inconsistencies here & there as well as some special effects that were missing that could have made some scenes more believable for example hair flies when it's next to an open door of a moving vehicle/helicopter. The bunker should definitely have been under more dirty considering how long ago it was last accessed. But you will enjoy this movie. Gal Gadot is lovely to see. Watch it.!

Absolutely bloody amazing. Guy Ritchie in top form. From the opening scene to the final credits, it keeps you guessing. Brilliant performances from Hugh Grant (especially), Colin Ferrel & Mathew McConaughey. Honor amongst thieves, the double cross & due come uppance make for a wonderful story. If you like Guy Ritchie's type of movies then you're going to love this one.

This movie had a good plot but the dialogue just "droned" on a bit too much. The pace is not constant and I fell off to sleep on both the 1st & 2nd attempt to watch it; the 2nd time during the final "action" scene. The cyborg reveal would have been better done in the field of combat instead of the change room. Towards the end I could not understand why Harp went on his own when all through the movie he wanted backup? This could have been a really great movie but sadly it falls short.

I'm sadly disappointed in this latest edition of James Bond. The formula has always action scenes, witty dialogue and the beautiful Bond girl. I give it 2 stars; 1 for a good, opening scene and the 2nd for Ana de Armas as a lovely Bond girl. I thought nothing could be as bad as On Her Majesty's Secret Service but this one is. It is the 1st Bond movie that I feel asleep watching. And the f-bomb. Really? A lot v of v the dialogue belonged in a drama. And as for the ending. Come now. James Bond is an icon. You cannot kill him off in this manner and proclaim he will be back. That belongs in soap operas. I think the director is not a Bond fan. This will not be added to my collection.

Great movie. Two people with different psychological issues come together and help each deal with their respective situations. While all does not go as expected, you will still love this movie. It will make you realise that the old adage "you don't know why someone does what they do until you've walked in their shoes" is true. Elle Fanning is amazing. Some romance and a little bit of comic humour make this a memorable movie to watch.

This is a nice movie to watch. The 1st half is incredible. Almost, but not as good, as BREAKING IN. Great acting. Bruce Willis in a nice grandpa role. The acting lacked a bit of consistency. They talk fine. But when they get shot or stabbed, they're weak for a while, then suddenly they walk and talk fine, then weak again. And the movie is called Survive The Night, yet a lot of the drama at the end, happens in the bright daylight. Also, people who do not want to be discovered, keep quite and speak in hushed tones. Not normal voices or scream in agony when they being chased by a gun toting psychopath. But still, it is not a waste of time to watch this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. Great acting combined with a wonderful story line of how a slum dog (listen out for that reference in this movie) makes it to the big time. While his story starts off normal, he warns you of the dark side, and that keeps you wondering "when are the wheels going to come off Balram's ride?". I do not advocate crime to try to get ahead in life and wished the crime that was committed here didn't happen. But the learning here is that you have to persevere in order to get ahead. Watch it. I'm sure you will enjoy it too.
