John Cena is the MVP of this movie, definitely very different than the roles he usually does y he delivers! The other actors give passable performance, though I got some good laughs throughout the movie! It felt nice to watch a good comedy.

I did not want to finish watching the movie because of the poorly-written story line. One star for Téa Leoni's good acting (Trying hard to play a crazily shallow mom) and one star for Adam Sandler. I feel like the whole movie wasted a lot of time to paint Téa as an eccentric mother who is mean to her daughter and cheats just to justify the maid and husband get together. I especially do not like the role of Cristina. She "worked hard" to collect sand glass and dared to ask to get paid almost the same amount as what her mother made in a month. Also, even though Deb cheats, she's been nice enough to Cristina and she utilizes that kind of liking and enjoys it while ignoring her daughter's feeling. Seeing that the opening of her essay was an admission letter to Ivy league makes me not wanting to watch anymore for the last 30 minutes. It was bad.

My husband and I really enjoyed watching it! One episode we were laughing so much we laughed for a minute. Will Arnett did a great job being a funny and annoying detective, his acting and humor was spot on, I love that the celebrities don’t necessarily guess the murderer right, and 30 mins per episode is a good length to get some good laughs. I hope they will have season 2 and bring up more celebrities! Maybe they can try making the last episode of each season a bigger and more complicated case with 2-3 celebrities to see who guess it correctly.

It was painful. I’ve never wished so eagerly the main character to die quickly so I can finish watching this movie. To me this movie is a hot mess just like Adam Sandler’s character. He’s so unlikable that I cannot stand going through this journey with him. I don’t know how to appreciate this movie, only thing is I’m glad is I watched it on Netflix and I didn’t pay to watch it.
