In terms of the cast, cinematography, writing, production and storyline this is an excellent series. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the key political issues of the timeโredlining and the targeted destruction of black neighborhoods in the United Statesโwas included in the narrative. I also presume this is part of the reason for much of the negative reviews of the showโthe latter and of course the feminist bent.
