I appreciate bold and creative interpretations of our ancient tales, this particular adaptation left me with mixed feelings.
One of the glaring issues that I encountered while watching "Adipurush" was the inclusion of a scene in which Lord Ram supposedly battles skeleton zombies. To my knowledge and extensive study of the Ramayana, there is no mention of such a battle ever taking place. It left me puzzled and questioning the creative choices made by the filmmakers. It felt like an unnecessary addition, perhaps an attempt to appeal to modern audiences' taste for action and spectacle.
Furthermore, the casting of Prabhas as Lord Ram left much to be desired. While Prabhas is undoubtedly a talented actor, he simply did not fit the role of the divine prince. His portrayal lacked the emotional depth and spiritual aura that one would expect from an actor playing such an iconic character. It felt like a miscasting, and I couldn't help but wonder why the filmmakers didn't choose an actor who could embody the essence of Lord Ram more convincingly.
