I am afraid I am going to have to agree with the majority of the post I have read on this forum. Let me first start by saying I’m a huge Cirque du Soleil fan. I saw my seventh show tonight in Columbia, South Carolina. I took my 78-year-old mother who is a fan also but she has never seen a live show, only shows on TV. To give you an idea about how disappointing this show was about 15 minutes in, my mother whispered to me “I don’t think I can sit here through this for two hours.” I just did not find that the music or the performances lived up to what I expected from a Cirque du Soleil show. Very basic acrobatic acts. Juggling, spinning rings around your body, jumping up and down on trampolines and doing flips, lady in the air wrapping herself up in the big scarf. Things we have all seen a million times. It just was not mind blowing like past shows. They did this little skit part that went on for about what seemed like 30 minutes, it was the scene where the two little people got married inside that box. I just found this to be pointless, long and honestly boring. Very disappointed in the show. Cirque has got to step it up to what they once were or I will not be returning. Sorry I never thought I would see the day when I write a negative review about Cirque du Soleil but this one was just bad!
