I am on thee fringes of "the business," screenwriting for over 40 yrs, winning a Telly and one option that did not pan, so I clicked on this...I had heard of that "gas station," before...so I think that was "real." Some things did bother me--the series so emphasized the male homosexual angle, including very sensuous scenes, which though fascinating maybe lingered a bit long...And was Rock Hudson really that bad an actor? I loved him even in hetero romantic leads. The extreme prolonged over emphasis on women in the business and blacks in the business got a little old for me--preachy, even...See THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING on Netflix, about women fighting to matter in the biz. The black and Asian slights, of course, as well known...esp through today's lens...
I enjoyed this series if "enjoyed" is the word...a slice of "life," and well cast and costumed... The "Sheldon" agent was superbly done...
