I got Apple+ for this. Oh boy was that a mistake. I have no problem with injecting some creative license into the story, adding diverse characters and strong leads. But the story itself was just butchered for the Hollywoodizing of a sci-fi masterpiece. Many adaptations get the Hollywood treatment but usually they stray from the source material a little bit at a time or start doing so on later seasons. They don't just throw out the meat of the story right from the start. Adding sex, violence and Hollywood explosions were obviously to try to get the dollars in. Is it a good sci-fi show? Its alright at best. Is it a good adaptation of the Foundation Series? I dont even think it is a good adaptation of the dust cover of the first book. What a shame, they took a cerebral piece and Michael Bay'ed it.
