I don't know. The ending honestly didn't feel real to me emotionally, and it's like the key thing that the movie revolved around. So it was a big let down. It felt like all the loneliness of the voyage and semi-nihilistic struggles were just there so this woman had enough reason to give up, yet it still felt too easy, too wishful when she did. It felt like that little reveal about the general's wife at the end of Arrival, but in that movie that was just a plot device. On the other hand my disappointment could be a testament to how good the build-up was? It entertained for some good 90 minutes, so there was that for what it was worth. Just not enough pay-off.

Funny that a natural history show rooted in evolution theory could have such an unscientific attitude. For one thing it doesn't discuss anything, it just keeps asserting like some priest. Then there is this weird Machiavellian undertone for lack of a better word. It keeps shoving these words like "dynasty" and "domination" in to the narration on a really annoying frequency. Even with Morgan Freeman's voice it gets pretty hard to swallow. At one point it claims that the human has managed to "break away from nature", which given the current climate crisis feels so stupid it's hilarious. The one thing I do appreciate very much is that it does wonderful renderings of the feathered dinosaurs. Worth a watch if for nothing else but that.

Two episodes in and I am loving it. it's one of those shows that just have great vibes. The tune is a mixture of melancholy and humour, but can turn heart-breaking or absurd really quick. The unique thing about this main character is that he is very reflective and often aware of the ridiculousness of the situations, which makes him feel more real than many other comedic characters on TV. As a result I often feel like I am laughing with him and it's a nice feeling. Already all the side characters show great promises. Can't wait to see where the show writer take this.
