Great book from amazing series about Erast Petrovovich Fandorin. As a foreigner you should simply get used to russian names and streets and enjoy these adventurous detective stories. Since author writes also history books, you rarely find such details in descriptions of clothes, traditions or dialogues, he really helps you travel back in time and take peek… And what matters greatly to me, that this talented intelligent hardworking author, is against W@r in Ukraine. He, who wrote so many books, that they filmed movies, series, and play plays in theaters from his stories, is now an enemy in Russia, because he speaks and writes the truth, because having own opinion and free of speech is not allowed there if doesn’t go along with their propaganda. I read the whole series of books twice and now I began listening to it on German, because I want to share this with my husband. It’s interesting to compare what an intelligent man, hero, a man with dignity used to mean back than, and whom they call „heros“ now…
