It seems a great many people are swayed into blindness by the use of Jayne Austen's name. As others have pointed out the scenery and sound track are excellent. As a period drama some characters nail it but unfortunately the majority simply do not. Rose Williams looks like a 20th century women deposited on set in period clothing after a trip in the TARDIS. Most of the time her hair would have looked fine in central London last week. Jazzing up a period drama to boost TV ratings is an insult to the memory of Jane Austin and all her wonderful work. Period.
