Solution to only one medical pod that could provide a stasis: They didn’t think of a possible solution, they could alternate in sleeping/ stasis they could be alive when the ship gets to destination. They could be in the pod for 40 years each, or they could alternate 10 years at a time, they will not age when they are in the pod saving half the lifetime. Example: at 30 to 40 one of them will age 10 years the other will remain at 30 Then they switch and they would be both 40 with 20 years have passed and only 10 years of aging. If they have a child he could age normally, at one point they can all be the same age alternatively, there are other unoccupied pods that we have seen earlier when he was unable to access, may be now he can?
