My friend and I were only able to watch about ten minutes of the first episode before we turned it off. The dialogue between the son and mom was horrible and I didn't care to hear the rest of the show. It's a hard no for me.

This show is my guilty pleasure. I honestly watch it because it's soo over the top and unrelated to anything I've experienced in life. It keeps me entertained with the unrealistic dialogue and relationships that the main characters have. I am not surprised this is a Tyler Perry production because most of his work is just like this! Poor writing, the same stereotypical tropes being recycled in every production, the drama between Black men and women, and a lack of self-awareness and a healthy sense of self. It always amazes me how everyone loves Mr. Perry's work. Here are some questions I have about the show that don't make sense: How are there no security guards in the bank? Why are there constant arguments and foul language in the workplace? Why do the women in this show never learn their lesson and repeat cycles ( They are too grown and established in their careers for this)? Why are most of these scenes longer than they need to be? I do enjoy the outfits and some of the hairstyles on the show, like Andi and Sabrina's hair. The four leading women are absolutely beautiful and add their flare to the script. However, as someone else mentioned, I believe that some of the men, like Gary, Zac, and Maurice are better actors. Also, this is not comparable to shows like Girlfriends or Insecure.

I'm going to keep this short BECAUSE I'm still reflecting on how wonderful this piece was. Sheeesh, I never left a horror movie, and I don't watch many, feeling sad, inspired, but hopeful. I won't get into that. I would say that the execution of Nia Dacosta's vision was done beautifully. I loved that she refrained from displaying graphic images of Black pain on screen. That was refreshing and I didn't feel triggered. I believe the people who didn't receive the film well, especially Wypipo didn't appreciate hearing the truth. Well, ya know the truth hurts. I also believe that their voyeurism for Black pain and trauma could not be fulfilled here -- which made them review this film harshly. Anyway, yall should watch it and appreciate what it says about historical trauma and violence towards Black folks and how that shows up today!

I read the book last year and was so excited when I saw this on Netflix. I already knew what was going to happen but I wondered how this would unfold on screen. The miniseries KILT it! They did an AMAZING job! The story was flawlessly depicted, the actors inhaled this script and exhaled it out (give them their awards now), and the visuals were absolutely beautiful. loveeeeeee!!!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOW! I am (now) 26 years old and this is my favorite cartoon on television right now. Now, I will list all of the things I love about Craig of the Creek. The show depicts an authentic portrayal of a beautiful Black family. From the mama who is an HU grad with gorgeous natural hair to the father who is loving and hilarious with his "dad jokes" to the annoying, yet goal-oriented older brother, the cute and curious baby sister, and Craig, the natural-born and adventurous leader! I also enjoy hearing all of the common sayings in Black households, like grandma saying "you smell like outside" and the different ways they show Black culture. This could be a popular r&b song, the Thanksgiving episode with the sweet potato pie, and general conversations. Then there are Craig's friends Kelsey and JP who come from different family backgrounds and who are just as multifaceted as any kid. Kelsey is a strong young warrior and talented writer. While JP is the fun-loving and eccentric kid. The other characters are very diverse and are positively represented. Lastly, I enjoy the simplicity of the show and the child-like wonder of it all! The adventures at the creek make me wish I had a space like this to explore when I was younger. So, take yourself over to Cartoon Network and watch Craig of the Creek immediately!!!!!!!!!

This movie was trash! The book was descriptive, well thought out and the characters were great. The storytelling was phenomenal! However, the movie felt rushed, it was boring and all around a disappointment. The only good thing about the movie was Emily Blunt's character. She definitely killed this role !

I read the novel before I watched the movie on Hulu. It was surprisingly good. For one, I enjoyed the scientific and historical facts presented in this movie. The soundtrack was bomb and the dialogue was pretty cute. I also like the visuals of NY, but I guess I'm biased since I'm from there. I have to say that some of the dialogue was cheesy, but Yara is a great actress and Charles was pretty good. Their chemistry was apparent and I'm a hopeful romantic so I cried a bit too much lol. However, I hated the fact that movie omitted so much from the novel, like the security guard character, the actual ending, among other things. Overall, I really did enjoy this movie. Now If you will excuse me, I'm going to go ahead and explore the city looking for my own Daniel Bae 😅😂😂

Klaus was one of the best animated Christmas movies I've ever seen. I love the unique characters, the funny d cute dialogue, unique storytelling, soundtrack and the origin of Santa Claus and Christmas. I thought it would be just alright when I watched it, but found myself really enjoying it and wanting more. I'm super emotional, so I did tear up during the heartwarming moments.
