This show is my guilty pleasure. I honestly watch it because it's soo over the top and unrelated to anything I've experienced in life. It keeps me entertained with the unrealistic dialogue and relationships that the main characters have. I am not surprised this is a Tyler Perry production because most of his work is just like this!
Poor writing, the same stereotypical tropes being recycled in every production, the drama between Black men and women, and a lack of self-awareness and a healthy sense of self. It always amazes me how everyone loves Mr. Perry's work.
Here are some questions I have about the show that don't make sense:
How are there no security guards in the bank? Why are there constant arguments and foul language in the workplace? Why do the women in this show never learn their lesson and repeat cycles ( They are too grown and established in their careers for this)? Why are most of these scenes longer than they need to be?
I do enjoy the outfits and some of the hairstyles on the show, like Andi and Sabrina's hair. The four leading women are absolutely beautiful and add their flare to the script. However, as someone else mentioned, I believe that some of the men, like Gary, Zac, and Maurice are better actors.
Also, this is not comparable to shows like Girlfriends or Insecure.
