I think that is novel was well written but long at parts. At one point I felt that maybe I just need to quit. I stopped and read reviews to get me back on track. I do believe this is a very sad and tragic story but still a desperate searching for love which does come along at times. Then a beautiful happiness blooms and I will just leave it at that. I do warn future readers if you have had child neglect, abuse physically or mentally, this may be a very hard read for you. I have never been thrown so hard back into my childhood as I have reading this book. It left me thinking all throughout the day of these characters in the book and my own life. I can say I surely didn’t have the life the main character had but enough to scar me for life. It is a book that I will never regret or forget.
