I absolutely hated the movie. The characters were badly cast, there were many scenes not meant for the child eye. Winnie in the book was 10, in the movie she looked about 22. Miles in the book was kind, loving and an okay guy. In the movie he sucked. He kidnapped a little girl, (who looked 22), and was just downright mean. If that was what they were going for, good job casting. But in the book he was 21-22, in the movie he looked 45. Mae didn't do anything, neither did Tuck. The man in the yellow suit could have fit the description better, but a good casting choice. The swimming scene was horrendous. They stripped down to their undergarments and jumped in a lake with a waterfall where Jesse carried her. Not okay. And there was a part where Winnie was dancing in front of the fire, that dancing didn't look like it should be something in a movie. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE.
