Extremely well made and brilliant in many respects, Uncut Gems is more a film to study than enjoy. It’s like being stuck on a roller coaster when your seatbelt is loose. See it in the theatre, because that’s the only way you will get to the end without a lot of breaks and cursing conversations about the mayhem Adam Sandler’s quasi-antihero reeks upon the screen.
