So if you’re looking for a Zelda-like game like I was…this ain’t it chief. There are many aspects that are similar but holy moley is it frustrating. I would say challenging but there are too many ways to die it might as well be the RPG of 1000 ways to die. I thought by getting the extra heart from completing the side quest early in the game would help(it didn’t) and the combat is atrocious. You’re this kid going up against enemies that have way more of an advantage than you, like lizards that have tongues double their body length so they can practically snipe you and you can’t do anything about it or plants that can chomp you at around the same distance and…you guessed it…you’re taking some damage. My only advice if you get this game is to remember the dark souls way of surviving. Roll. Roll like your life depended on it because it does. Oh and you can forget about hints cuz there aren’t any. And forget about the map because it’s useless. This game is not worth the full price of $24.99 that I paid on switch. I can see it being worth $9.99 at best. The Character design and world layout is great(mind the edges that are just a little too high…because you’ll die) but spending hours throwing pots and skulls at enemies just to realize I had to turn a random crank to raise a random chest and that random chest had my long awaited sword in it?!?!?! Don’t waste your time with this game unless you have a dark souls itch you need to scratch.
