I have read many David Baldacci books and, for the most part, have enjoyed them. For this book I only managed to get to the end of chapter 10 before I put it down. The lead character takes on a task from someone she has never heard of in the organization she works for even though it bears no resemblance to her day to day duties. She does not bother to check to confirm this person even works for the company. Shortly thereafter she becomes a murder suspect but when the mysterious caller contacts her again opts not to contact the detective working the case. I get that it is necessary to accept certain liberties when reading but this beginning defies all logic and does not bode well for the rest of the book. It will be going back to the library unfinished.
