It felt like the animation budget was low the same stuff happening over and over again felt like I was just watching the same fights over and over again. I watched the whole show disappointed it was only 8 episodes as for 8 episodes it failed to do many things. I had no background on any of the characters which made it hard to get excited for the fights as if they were just cannon fodder for the main character and I believed it would be introduced for later opponents. We saw one unique move from each participant it felt like atleast and these were all people who had supposedly mastered their own different type of martial arts yet they all felt like the same style when watching. After the 8 episodes I thought that it surely cant be the end as most typical animes go for at least 12 episodes a season and the main antagonist he fought at the end we saw one prior fight. with no prior fights there was no build up no excitement and just felt bland. They gave constant flashbacks to where he used the move that he used to kill the home invader and the nonchalonce he had when he was told that his koou could no longer be used as a secret attack i thought that he was going to use that move to secure the fight yet he didnt i feel it wouldve been a better ending to the 8 episodes as a whole circle and there was no reason for him not to as its not like he banned himself from the move as he used it in the first fight he had against shino. all in all just wasnt very good and there are many other better fighting animes out there. I enjoyed it i suppose just had the opportunity for better things.
