The author didn’t follow his own source material and literally said he hired actors for diversity because of diversity. That is the absolute wrong reason. Beyond that, the show is hardly recognizable from the books. Something as small as wigs or colored contacts would have made a huge improvement by actually following descriptions that were presented in great detail in the books. I had hopes, but I’ve been nothing but disappointed.
