Meg 2 was an amazing sequel. The first half starts off the slow but it finishes extremely strong. Probably the best last 30 minutes of any movie literally ever.
Pros:
The characters not acknowledging the existence of the giant squid for the entire movie.
The return of the dog pippin.
Jason Statham holding his breathe 25,000 feet under water and surviving.
Paige Kennedy shooting and killing a prehistoric amphibious creature with a desert eagle.
Cons:
Not riding the shark the Asian guy built a bond with at the end of the movie.
