Poison Apple

This movie blew me away! Please don't listen to the negative reviews. Of course everyone has the right to an opinion but I think a lot of people missed the point of the movie and unfortunately they have probably swayed a lot of other people to give it a miss which is such a shame. I can understand not liking it but to give it 1 star is just unfair, but maybe I'm biased because I loved it haha. Titane may not be for everyone but to me it's so different and refreshing and it stirred up so many emotions in me. I don't know how some people can say that the violence was "mediocre" because although there isn't a lot of violence in the film, when it does happen it is intense and so real it made me squirm, and not a lot does that to me! I haven't seen Raw yet but I will definitely be watching it soon. I think Julia Ducournau has created a brilliant movie that explores so many complex themes while being creepy and very disturbing, which is especially commendable given that it's hard to shock people anymore in this world where almost everything has been done before. I think she very much deserved to win the Palme d'Or, and Titane has got to be one of the best new movies I have seen at the cinema for years. It will stay with me for a long time.
