Do yourself a favour: go to Stan and watch “Thou Shalt Not Steal”, it is 100% better than the crap that is Territory. The writers and production company for this series should be taken out remote and left there to find their own way back, (or not), for inflicting this absolute tripe of a series on the poor viewers. I read that a couple of the writers went to the Northern Territory (I live in remote NT) and did all this research…maybe they were overcome by the buildup in Darwin, drank too much beer and though they had all these great ideas. Rest assured, this is a series based in fantasy, and like the kingdom of Shrek, it’s far, far away from any reality I know of the NT! Those poor actors, trying to make something tangible out of a poorly scripted, banal and violent for no reason storyline. The patriarch is nothing but a nasty and sadistic old man, poor Anna Torv was probably told to be like Beth Dutton I Yellowstone, but they forgot to give Anna any decent lines to use or any backbone to her character. As for the younger lead characters - they’d do well on Home and Away or Neighbours because their storylines and one dimensional characterisations are soap opera worthy. Netflix, please, please DO NOT give any more money to the writers or producers of this absolute rubbish. No second season is needed, this one season was bad enough.

No. Just no. Unrealistic plot lines, poorly developed characters, contrived sentiment. If you had a mother like that in real life, you'd need so much therapy! And why bother with the peripheral characters? They added absolutely nothing to the plot. 3 amazing actors in such a bad movie - what a shame. Will definitely keep an eye out for this writer/director to make sure I steer clear of any further movies they make. I'd give no stars if possible and will never trust rotten tomatoes again!
