To date, the most faithful-to-source adaptation of a manga. You'd think they must have been lazy just shooting all the scenes from the OVA but they actually one-upped the source here by giving some background to Alita through flashbacks. It is a beautiful movie with all the elements a great story - love, hope, post-apocalyptic politics, death, family, trees, water, aliens, a cute small dog and of course, robot fights on skates. Seriously, this movie is a bargain for the amount of entertainment it brings to viewers and the technology that pushes the boundaries for filmmakers. Very well done, James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez
