To be fair, I have not finished all four episodes but I just can't. I love all the acting, the cinematography, the set design and costumes; but the characters break their own rules, and that drives me nuts. As some one who grew up a minister's child and has worked professionally with many types of people of the cloth (/faith... rabbis, pastors, priests, ect.), I can not believe that the Vicar would continue on this path of action. It makes no sense. Also, the pacing is so off in this show. The timing of the reporter and Janice meeting does not make sense. The reporter is in America an hour after they meet. Nope. At first I thought the writers were going in a different direction but they are having all the adults make childish decisions. The Vicar in the real world would have taken the flash drive with himself and Janice to a policeman/station if she was that hysterical and unwilling to believe it could have come from a different source. I seriously thought she would not spend more than two hours down there. This was not the actions of a vicar and his wife; of a loving, caring, community focused family. Very lazy writing! This story has so much potential, the acting is phenomenal but I just can't suspend my belief enough to go along for the whole ride.
