The Tarantino film is beyond anything I've ever seen from his glorious material. It truly belongs in a spot among the "classics." Pulp fiction is a truly wild ride that sends you through the entire emotional spectrum. The brutality of mace windu and the guy from grease put on a spectacular performace that is truly a once in a life time experience.
The climactic final battle featuring Peter and Lois, and they're amazing talking dog and genius baby really take the fight to sidney sweeney, whom we see a grand total of TWICE on the big screen throughout the movie. Her shockingly low screen time, although confusing, adds to the tension of the overall piece, and allows supporting actor Jared Leto as Morbius to shine.
I will say however, his only line in the film, "It's morbin time" really took me for surprise. I think the film makers could have chosen something better, but I do concede that it was not the worst choice.
My only problem with the film was Fargo esk scene where they shoved Jared Fogle into the wood chipper. The midwestern accents of the entire cast including Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves (the hollywood saint), and Jason Mamoa really threw me for a loop, as it is none of the main casts native tongue. They fail to deliver a convincing accent, and it sounds like Taika Watiti most times. Hearing Mr. Hart say, "you betcha bud" did make me chuckle out loud for some reason.
Overall a stunnin' film.
