The movie was actually pretty funny, with a lot of “fly by” punchlines or quips that you could probably miss. I like the writing. Interesting, and it gives similar vibes to EEAAO. However, I was recommended this movie and have saw this movie recommended on the basis that there was supposedly a very crazy plot twist. I’m not entirely sure what the twist was supposed to be? Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for some drastic twist, only to find myself at the end of the movie wondering what the hype was about. If you’re genuinely curious, give it a watch. If you want to watch it because you’ve seen comments or recommendations based on a “twist”, I’d actually just stay away.

I’ll sum the movie up like this: You know those people who try to be profound - they say so much but at the same time nothing at all? That’s this movie. It’s easy. Low budget. Somewhat interesting. Definitely not unique. I’d recommend watching this as a “well, dunno what else I want to watch so I will try this out.” If you’re into astrophysics, you may find some value in the plot/theories that lie within.

The ratings (critics) on this film have finally proven to me that reviews are bought. The overall premise of the movie is cool, and I appreciate the aspect ratio and overall feel of the film. The last 20 minutes of the movie are…oh so painful. So bad that it made me question why I watched it in the first place. I owe the movie three stars simply because everything prior to the last 20 minutes or so was pretty good. The feel of the movie and trailers are completely different from each other. I would recommend watching this only if you are strapped for something better.

SPOILER ALERT, LAST PARAGRAPH The movie is fine for 'what' it is. The plot, generally, is a tired one - perhaps with a few tweaks (I.E. It's during Thanksgiving) that could lend itself to a little originality. There's some humour, and in my opinion, quite a bit of gore. So, if you are squeamish, avoid. If you are expecting to be entertained - I encourage you to put it on. If you are expecting a new or 'original' experience, avoid it - you will be disappointed otherwise. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD The plot is obvious after about 10 minutes. Of course, it's a small town that has suffered some form of attack, or 'trauma'. A year later (on the "anniversary", a masked killer surfaces. Sound familiar? It should. Moreover, it's obviously the Sheriff. This is not new, or refreshing. And the ending....ugh... the ending is painfully unoriginal. Zero stars for making the watcher use a little deductive reasoning, because they straight up hand it to you on a silver platter. No...they throw it at you.

This movie was "ok". The plot itself presents an interesting moral dilemma. If only 1/50 people could survive, and it was up to those fifty people in the room to decide who the survivor is, how do you go about approaching this situation? As with most of these films, budget is low, and that doesn't do the actors/actresses any justice. As per above, don't expect to become drawn or attached to any of these characters. The movie does a rather poor job on any sort of character development, but I suspect part of this was intentional. If you were put in this situation, would you want to know every little (potentially sad) detail of people's lives? I know I wouldn't. If you are someone who is open minded when it comes to movies, you probably won't feel robbed of your time if you decide to give this a watch. If you are someone who is never happy with movies, expect thirty trillion dollar budgets, and a full flight of A-list celebrities, I'd avoid this one. ***[SPOILER]*** Honestly, I rolled my eyes every single time someone mentioned that the pregnant woman and child were to remain untouched. This is 2021, and I was glad to see that neither of them survived the end of this movie. ***[SPOILER]***

This is one of those movies everyone feels obligated to rate highly given the fact that the guys dead. Boring. Uninteresting. Over-dramatic. Over-hyped. The best part of this movie was when the credits rolled.

"Successfully unnerving?"BAHAHAHAAH. Nahhhh this movie misses the mark by a long shot. I went into this with such an open mind, and sincerely regret that I did. Can I have my fiver back that spent renting this please? I feel like I actually just threw a five dollar bill into a food processor and watched it disappear.
