There were nine of us on Dec 4th 1969. A few us have survived to witness this amazing movie about our lives. Most of us have stayed away from cameras and the news for many years. Several of us, and or our families have consulted with Shaka Kings and his teams, others of the survivors are checking in now, a few of the survivors and the families of the deceased survivors of Dec 4th are yet to be heard from. We pray to hear from in time.
It would be amazing to get the living survivors together and to locate the families of our comrades. That may happen in degrees. We are acknowledging recognizing, talking about our political and historical obligations as Black Panthers; to include the exclusive personal perspectives and experiences which compelled individuals into Black Panthers. We were then infused with political educations and dialectical analysis. Then to the Revolutionary Vanguard Movement and our dire battles for survival, and we were compelled increasingly to defend our selves.
Judas and Black Messiah opened up windows into "the histories of the people who were the Black Panthers". That is a complex story to be.
