Just writing to tell the weirdos that one starred this.
1. JT's character seems pretty unaccepting like most conservatives towards a trans/enby/gender fluid kid/person. He points out several times that he's not a girl and the kid acknowledges this fact. There's no mention of their sexual organs or transitioning in anyway.
The talk of sexual orientation is mentioned but in a similar way it was talked to me by adults in my life as a child. "Is that your girlfriend?" "Do you like anyone?" Simple things like that. Children aren't being taught to be gay or trans. This movie is more targeted towards adults about acceptance and how difficult life can be for everyone and it's even harder without a society that even gives you a chance to do better. Eg: Drug Addicts can get clean, and Trans people/felons deserve to be able to get employment and just be accepted for being a human.
The negative reviews are complaining about things they imagined in this movie and missed the entire point of a movie made for people like them to realize how their negativity and intolerance makes the world a worse place. Please watch it again, but this time remove your heads from your rectums.
