It is almost 2: 00 a.m. and I will not sleep tonight , having just seen "Women Talking", Sarah Polley's superb film. It is full of rage and grief, wisdom and hope and that is what my heart is full of this night. I know the hymn "Nearer my God to thee" and I cannot get it out of my head. I don't think I even want to. In my experience, put a group of women together who know each other and you will have rage and grief, wisdom and hope. I am the age of Greta and Agata and their wisdom just shone through this film. Sarah Polley needs to receive the award for Director at the 2023 Academy Awards. The final scene of the colony of women and children leaving will never leave my mind, there is the hope! Katharine Anderson., Beamsville, Ontario
