My kids and I loved Afterlife… this one sucked. Wasted the talent of the original cast. They build up the bad guy for a weak final fight. They added a new fire master sorcerer which was just lame. They fight ghosts during the day and it just doesn’t feel right… Ghostbusters worked because it was scary and the crew made jokes when it was scary!!! At first I thought it was going to be the family growing together and fighting ghosts but it quickly derails…. The sex jokes did NOT land and were completely unnecessary. Words like “nipple play” and “sex dungeon” for the kids to hear. Afterlife was great and this one is just a mess. Phoebe also sucks her soul out so she can hang out with her ghost friend… weird unnecessary stuff. Stantz seemed like a goofball and was out of character the whole time. They bring back Peck and he’s just a douche… again. Nothing original just a mess so don’t go see it. I am a huge ghostbuster fan and this movie was a disappointment. Wait for netflix.

Acting was weak… too much wasted on his love life, action was pretty basic… was expecting some better action and left disappointed. Phoenix is awesome actor but he didn’t showcase anything. His fits of rage seemed reasonable to whatever was going on. I thought he was going to be ruthless small man syndrome, but they made cool and calm and too likable. Id rather rewatch gladiator than see this again. Phoenix rocked his uniform/hat. Great casting.
