A clichéd mess that tries too hard to defang the Sanderson sisters and deconstruct their villanous nature in order to sell them as misunderstood girl bosses. The new main characters are not particularly likeable and their dynamic is unengaging, there are also random musical numbers sprinkled in that generally come across as jarring. The saccharine theme seems unfit for the antagonistic characters and the whole movie feels more like a remake than a sequel. I doubt many will be revisiting this every Halloween, I for one will only go back to the 1993 classic, exclusively.
