I wanted to get into this movie so bad but it was a complete let down. Nowadays I’m sure it is hard to execute an idea for a story that hasn’t already been done before, and I applaud Dave Franco for trying (the Airbnb touch was nice) but it could’ve been executed so much better. It felt like there were too many subplots that had nothing to do with the overall story. Also I almost forgot I was watching a horror film until the last 26 minutes. I found myself thinking “for the love of God something happen already!” for most of the movie. A slow burn is okay if it comes with a big payoff at the end but that is not what you got here. I was left feeling extremely disappointed.
