They absolutely butchered the original. They left out little Erika's story, the grandma's losing a finger story, the grand high witches assistant turning good and turning the mice back into children plus so much more such as the witches feet. I always thought that Witches was a scary kids movie but somehow they found a way to make a classic goofy. I could go on all day about all of the inconsistencies in the new boring version but I don't want to waste much more time or breath on a remake this bad that by the way had a janky ending. Leave the great classics as they are and redo the bad ones.
